Services

Beginning with initial placement testing, the dyslexia therapist will work one-on-one with your child, at their own pace, using direct, explicit, structured, multimodal, and multisensory instruction. The dyslexia therapist will employ a systematic, sequential, and prescriptive approach, which will tailor instruction to match your child’s progress. The individual may also be given simple homework for drill and reinforcement that will take about five minutes to complete. As repetition is essential for dyslexic students, we highly recommend that every effort is made to complete these assignments at home to help cement concepts into long-term memory. This will lead to stronger reading skills and faster progress.

In addition to the personalized instruction, your child's Dyslexia Therapist will strive to maintain an active and open relationship with you. This means that you will be regularly informed of your child's progress, ensuring that you are always in the loop. The therapist will also suggest ways for you to reinforce learning at home, providing you with practical tips and strategies that will enhance your child's educational journey. Furthermore, the therapist will be available to give you professional advice on anything else that may assist your child's learning, ensuring that you have the support and guidance you need.

By working closely with you, the Dyslexia Therapist aims to create a collaborative and dynamic partnership. This partnership will not only benefit your child's learning but also empower you as a parent or guardian. With regular updates, helpful suggestions, and professional advice, you will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to support your child's progress outside of therapy sessions. This holistic approach to dyslexia therapy will foster a sense of teamwork, ensuring that everyone involved is working towards a common goal - your child's success.

In summary, our services go beyond the one-on-one instruction provided by the dyslexia therapist. We strive to create a comprehensive support system that includes regular communication, practical suggestions, and professional advice. With our personalized approach and collaborative partnership, we are committed to helping your child overcome the challenges of dyslexia and achieve their full potential.
